Mind, body and breath are all intertwined parts of the whole. Congestion in any of these affects the other. With the help of asana and breathing, we can solve these blockages and focus on restoring the body to balance. Yoga Therapy practice is suitable for all ages, levels and body types.

Why this specialization program?
Mind, body and breath are all intertwined parts of the whole. Any blockage (klesa) in any of these affects the other. If Klesa decreases or disappears, the system restores equilibrium. With the space opened up in the body, sukha (comfortable area) increases and Prana (life energy) flows more easily. That’s what Yoga Therapy focuses on. Yoga Therapy promotes and supports western medicine.
“Yoga Therapy Patanjali is based on yoga tradition and Ayurveda system. It is the adaptation and application of yoga techniques and practices to help the person restore a balance and increase their life force by reducing these blockades at all levels.” Gary Kraftsow
My dear teacher Gary Kraftsow, one of the most competent yoga therapists in the world who started working with Krishnamacharya at the age of 19, likens the tools used in yoga therapy to the tools in a toolbox. These tools can be asana, adaptation to asana or breath.
All these concepts and understanding of yoga are based on Krishnamacharya and Desikachar. Experience this yoga style, which is suitable for everyone, firsthand with a comprehensive 100-hour specialization program.
The main objective of the Specialization Program
The main goal of this program is to train well equipped experts who practice and teach safe yoga by deepening your practice and changing your perspective on yoga.
What is the content of the Specialization Program?
Yoga therapy for lower body: waist, sacrum, buttocks, sciatica, knees, ankles and feet
Yoga therapy for upper body: upper back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists and scoliosis
I will provide anatomy information for each main topic as much as any yoga expert should know. We will then look at the musculoskeletal condition and mechanical problems encountered in that area. A yoga practice will be following each theory section.
Adaptation Concept and Grading Principles
Adaptation is the focus of Viniyoga™ practice. In this way, we reach the upper and lower spine and start to benefit from the pose. I will talk about Viniyoga™ grading principles. There will be themed practice and yoga practice aimed at the target pose in order to establish the concept of adaptation well.
Principles of Yoga Practice and Transferring Knowledge
This section includes asana knowledge, the concept of adaptation, the fundamental elements of yoga practice, the stages of describing asanas and the basics of yoga practice. In order for the subject to be fully settled, every participant in the specialization program will give a class according to the given theme.
Vijnana Darsana (The Art of Observation)
You will have the opportunity to observe both your own body and others’ in paired studies. In this way, you will take your own practice further and review the language you use in your yoga practice.
We will conduct case studies with participants or outsiders in accordance with the topic covered. These studies will help you in deepening observation, understanding by asking questions and developing the ability to bring appropriate solutions for that person.
