In today's world full of perceptions and stimuli, regulating the nervous system has perhaps become one of our most important priorities. Cihangir Yoga hosts the NeuroSystemics team and introduces you to simple techniques that you can use in daily life. This work will be lead by Rebekka Haas Çetin, one of the founders of Cihangir Yoga. Boaz B. Feldman, the leader of NeuroSystemics, will also participate online and will give you live practices.
Open to students of all levels and does not require any previous experience.
What is the NeuroSystemics Training Organization?
NeuroSystemics offers an integrative scientific pathway to handle a range of conditions including trauma, depression, anxiety and addiction. Combining wisdom traditions, state-of-the-art neuroscience and systemic understanding, this Workshop will focus on the healing developmental trauma, through somatic practices for trauma-healing. There will be opportunities to explore relational frames of trauma-healing and develop key skills in attention and emotion regulation.
Objectives, Content & Benefits
This Workshop will offer you:
* Skills to up-regulate your nervous system: you will experience practices of Mindfulness and compassion to deepen your capacity for attentional and emotion regulation.
* Skills to help regulate developmental trauma: we all carry some wounds from our childhood, preventing us from living our life meaningfully. In this workshop we will practice and learn 2-3 practical nervous system-informed tools to help you regulate and grow in you daily life, and with other people.
* Pedagogical maps & learning frameworks: We will share with you an easy-to-learn somatics framework so the practices make sense in terms of the latest neuroscience.
* Live demonstration: Boaz will give a short live demonstrations to show how these trauma-healing skills are applied in real time. We will have opportunities for questions and discussion also.
* Over the 2 hours, you can expect:
* 30 minutes of content presentation
* 15 minutes of demonstration
* 30 minutes of experiential practice
* 30 minutes of questions and answers and discussion
* 15 minutes of connecting time
If you want to go further, we are offering a full week-end Introductory Workshop on September 21-22 with Cihangir Cabbebostan Studio.
This Trauma and Resiliency Workshop is for:
* Therapists, clinicians, psychologists, doctors & psychiatrists: learn to work with the body, build solid group facilitation skills, integrate your tools in a transdiagnostic framework, include attentional and emotional regulation.
* New or experienced mindfulness practitioners & MBSR-MBCT teachers: learn nervous system science techniques to work with individuals and groups somatically.
* Corporate and community leaders & human resource managers: develop relational practices, deepen attunement to others by becoming more sensitive to somatic, affective and group processes to increase the efficiency of your teams.
* Yoga teachers, social workers, health-practitioners & educators: learn to create safe environments for learning and engaging optimally, understand nervous system functioning to support resiliency and empowerment.
* Professionals in the helping professions & NGO’s: prevent burnout and tackle stress optimally, empowerment and inspiration in tackling social and environmental crises and injustices.
Trainers
Boaz B. Feldman, Faculty
Boaz is a practical visionary, an experienced psychologist, a Dharma teacher and trainer acting for worldwide positive change. He has worked with numerous international organisations (UNHCR, UNOCHA, WHO, Doctors Without Borders) in a variety of humanitarian contexts such as war zones (Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Myanmar), low-income contexts (Eastern Europe) and natural emergencies (Thailand). Boaz is currently a Research Scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, he assisted Somatic Experiencing trainings and taught as the main faculty in Europe for Organic Intelligence, and now enjoys engineering and teaching innovative and integrative approaches at NeuroSystemics!
Rebekka Haas Çetin, Assisting Faculty (NSP)
Rebekka is a Mindfulness Coach (ICF) and counsellor for both, individual and group sessions.
She is extensively trained in Organic Intelligence®️, a clinical protocol for trauma resolution through shepherding nervous system states from bottom up. Her participation in NeuroSystemics expands her contribution to healing from an individual to a greater psycho-social frame through group work (RC). She is a certified yoga teacher and the co-founder of multiple yoga Studios. Her original background is in filmmaking. Rebekka is from Germany and is now living with her husband in Istanbul, they have 3 children.
